This pun-filled adventure begins when the Nome King is so frightened by Billina that he falls to pieces and his shadow escapes. Calling himself Shady, the Nome King's Shadow travels to Oz to avenge his former master's honor. Puns, perils, and some wild and wooly magic shake Oz to its foundation.
